Has anybody done testing to determine if your combat ability bonuses (Pryo +5% fire damage / level), or ability bonuses (Int +5% damage, 2% magic armor) transfer to your summons at all?

If i'm building a pyro mage, I would hope that since I'm going heavy fire damage, my fire summon would also benefit from that, or that a hydro mage would get additional healing applied from their summons restoration spell.

Additionally if a summon does get bonuses from your Attributes, it opens up the door for summons to be useful for more than just mages. You could have a warrior with a summon that does lots of physical damage, or lots of extra damage to armor (if warfare level applied to summon).

Though I understand wanting to restrict to usage of summons, as you wouldn't want to make it something that is just always good to get.

Summons don't get any bonuses from your stats or skills (aside from Summoning, of course). This is precisely why it is good for non-Mages too. For example, my summoner stacked finesse and used a bow; but his summons were just as strong as a mage's would be.

So far, dimensional bolt is the 1 "Summoning" ability that scales off of player stats (Intellect), but it's not actually a summon, and also isn't very good.

I think it is also beneficial to pump some points into summon to make them a bit stronger.
