I've been playing an enchanted edition mod on co-op called Epic Encounters which basically rebalances everything and adds a ton of stuff. There's one thing in particular that I've loved very much and would like to see in D:OS 2: Combination skills.
A few examples:
Attonement "Soldier Adept skill - Requires Hydrosophist 3. Requires Character Level 7. 100% chance to heal a target within 15 meters, also dealing Water damage to enemies within 3 meters of that target. Always removes Fear from the main target."
Maze "Geomancer Master skill - Requires Witchcraft 4. Can only be cast in combat. 100% (No saving throw) chance to apply "Maze" for 5 turns to a target within 8 meters. Maze removes a target entirely from the world--each round, at the end of their turn, there is a chance from 0 to 50% (dependent on how intelligent the target is relative to the caster's level) that it escapes the maze."
The concept of having to think of what schools you pick to create combination skills is awesome and makes for more tactical depth in the game. While the skills system is different in D:OS 2, I'd love to see this done in some way.
