I'm pretty confused about this, because I don't understand if it's a bug or if it's supposed to be this way.
Most of the time only one of us receives experience for party quest conversations in coop. Like, the other player(s) literally have to leave the game completely if we want the same amount of experience on all party members.
"Share" in the quest log doesn't do anything, because these quests already are in "party quests" category. For example, Griff and his "oranges". It 100% was a party quest, we both had it in our logs and "share" was ticked, we were both engaged in the conversation (there was a party decision in it), but Griff just wouldn't give any XP to the other player.
It would make sense if we had a competition and sneakily tried to complete quests without waiting for each other (and that's certainly a fun option), but this wasn't what we wanted to do. We were trying to pull off a partnership scenario. We received the quest together, we did it together, we turned it in together, but only one of us got XP in the end.
I find that slightly annoying.

Yes it's a bug and mentioned by several players. It's especially annoying for me because even though I host the game, the other player normally gets the XP. rolleyes And annoying to the other player who has to wait for my character to level so I can contribute fully.

We really hope they fix this.

Don't think its a bug, but a feature they are testing(?) since they have this whole "war" thing and what not, a competitive CO-OP, but a lot of people have considered this a negative, so I am like 95% sure they will either change it, or at least add a "shared exp" option in the options for people who just want co-op, and want to do everything together and not suffer.

As for right now, keep an eye on your characters when turning in the quests, which is what me and a friend had to do. And they don't have to log out, you can go into "Assign characters" once you hit ESC, and then the person talking and turning in the quest should take control of all 4 characters, then link them. This is important, bc the characters that are LINKED, get the exp, so you also have to LINK them. That is what me and my friend had to do once we noticed this....exp problem.

Would be better as a mode selection on campaign creation if it was an option. I would totally try such a mode if all players present at the time of room creation were all ready for that type of competitive gameplay.
