I would love to create my own custom party with traits and appearances. I think this will greatly increase replay value. I've heard about running four instances in multiplayer, I'm hoping there will be a simpler solution.

Not to be a self-promoting twat but look at steam guides. Although is far from easy or simple and even being gentle to your poor computer, the guide will show you how to make a custom party of four. You will be using Lan connection which does not actually require a real internet connection, and once characters made, save the game on the host profile and close down the other clients!. and you only require one client to play/control all custom characters once character creation is completed.

I seek to find an easier way but I still hope the game devs provide the means through UI I even believe it already has been coded just waiting for release.

I felt it might be an easy update to make, and I certainly see a lot of value in it for me. I feel there might be some that agree.

I am suggesting an option to start as a party of up to 4 characters in single player. So the player can choose to go alone and pick up companions or make 2,3 or full party custom.

Here is a party set up I would like to test out,but I doubt I will get the chance.

Battlemage (inquisitor preset) - Bull Horns, Adrenaline, Chicken Claw, Oportunist,Human,+1 lucky charm +2 int;+1 wits and fin

Arcane Archer (ranger preset) - Restoration, Hail Strike,Marksman Fang, the cool talent that makes basic attacks from bows deal elemental damage while on a surface, elf;+1 loremaster, +2 int, +1 wits

Arcane Trickster (fighter/cleric preset) Bull Horns, Mosquito Swarm, Chameleon Cloak,Pet Pall/Oportunist, Lizzard +2 str,+1 wits, +1 thivery

Shaman (with enchanter preset go +2 int, with battlemage preset go +1 fin +1 int) Fortify, Frost Armor, Fossil Strike, Mnemonic; +1 telekinesis, +1 con, dwarf

I made the battlemage human because of his bonus to wits and critical strike chance. The arcane archer is an elf because you get free utility skills from eating certain corpses. The arcane trickster is a lizzard because the free +1 in persuasion makes lizzards good thieves. I made the shaman a dwarf instead of a human because it makes your party more flexible, you can swap out the battlemage for the shaman on the front line.
