Hello,

In NWN, I enjoyed the ability to run a game with friends and it helped to have an extra person controlling the NPCs with me. It was a very good experience.

Please consider allowing multiple people to log in as a Game Master.

As combat in DOS2 is turn-based I'd say there isn't really a need for a 2nd DM to help in combat.

It sure made voicing all of the NPCs and setting up maps a lot easier.

One of us could keep the players entertained while the other one did all the behind-the-scenes setup and built encounters / placed assets etc, and we'd swap off.

You are right, that for combat you won't need a 2nd DM, althoug it might be fun.

BUT: a 2nd DM would be extremely helpful. While one is controlling the party and telling the story the other one already is setting up the next improvised area (placing objects and so on). Multiple GMs would totally change a lot of the general capacity of the whole GM Mode imho.

This would be very helpful for some people, I hope they do this but I doubt I will benefit from it personally.

[Edit]
It would even allow people to mentor other GMs by allowing them to sit in and handhold the newer player.

DM's use another chat program (Teamspeak/Mumble etc) and make sure the settings are set to mute push-to-talk on main player channel, so they can chat in private and help each other out. Still stuck with one player controlling the assets - the 'proper' DM, but the other could be telling the story while he does so.

Hi Timar, where is this info from? Are you on the team or do you just have experience?

yes please, this idea is awsesome, having GM roles, one as narrator and one as builder would make things go smoothly for players

I'm not sure how this would work. When the DM loads a level, it automatically transports the players to the level, as it should. I guess if the DMs were always in the same level at the same time, that could be okay. I think it would just be too complicated to make it work and I am not sure it's even necessary.

GMAddon1: Adds almost every single monster and NPC from the main campaign into GM mode, plus a few large custom maps to use in GM mode.
