Divinity Original Sin 2 is being released in September and yet there still has been no word on the undead playable race.
When will it be added?
Will it be a DLC that we have to pay more money for?
Is it even going to be added?
It was announced that it was going to be added so were is the news on its progress?

As mentioned in Kickstarter updates, etc, the undead (and dwarf) playable character will be available at release.

Oh man, the possibility of an undead uprising campaign for the DM mode sounds like fun! Instead of vanquishing evil, you spread it!

Raze, if possible I'm wondering if you can tell us if the Undead Race will be playable before release, like the Dwarf RAce is, despite the lack of origin characters until then.

Well from looking in the modded game files... looks like all races and they will be able to polymorph into un-undead! From SkillSet.txt new skillset "Race_Human"

Weve already seen models for undead lizards and dwarves in the kickstarter updates and its been said already that the undead can be of any race Jebus, this game is trying really hard to replace other forms of RPGs with DM/GM hosted adventures. How do you figure, form that? The main storyline is the thing that's got the most effort, and they've included sevearl orign characters (hand-built characters that get unique abilities and questlines). I mean, plus being able to make custom characters for ANY game mode in which you can be four races AND an undead variant of those races? Yeah I'm just not seeing it.

Every time there I run into trouble on the road, there is always a dwarf at the bottom of it. Don't they know how to drive above ground?

Especially if some fan guesses are right and Zombie will become the Undead Racial Talent. That alone would make the Undead race COMPLETELY UNPLAYABLE for me.

Admittedly yes that is why I was hoping for the undead race to be playable before full release. Because I -really- don't want them to all be Zombies, and especially don't want them to be the ONLY zombies.

I'll be totally pissed off if the undead race is a zombie. I was truly hoping for a skeleton playable character. Right now the market is over-saturated with Zombies thanks to the Walking Dead. I'm actually becoming irritated every time I see new zombie merchandise. It's like how Twilight over-saturated the market with Vampires. Although Walking Dead is far better than Twilight could ever hope to be.

I'll be totally pissed off if the undead race is a zombie. I was truly hoping for a skeleton playable character. I'm hoping for a double of Patricia Morrison from the Sisters Of Mercy. Edit: for the benefit of those who are my equal when it comes to "do I have to Google it...?" She at least looks a bit like one of the two possibilities in the cover art.

I'll be totally pissed off if the undead race is a zombie. I was truly hoping for a skeleton playable character. Right now the market is over-saturated with Zombies thanks to the Walking Dead. I'm actually becoming irritated every time I see new zombie merchandise. It's like how Twilight over-saturated the market with Vampires. Although Walking Dead is far better than Twilight could ever hope to be. The zombie talent does not make you a zombie, it gives you healing from poison and damage from standard healing.
