First off, just want to say how much I love your games. The last D:OS was simply amazing. I loved the dual character RP system where they talked amongst each other, i loved the turn based combat, I loved how you could use the environment to your benefit (and sometimes detriment), but in this one I think you overdid it a little.
Not a fight can go by without every effect being everywhere, so much so it detracts from the combat. I can't seem to go through a fight without my characters constantly being stunned or on fire or frozen, sometimes all at the same time. The enemies magical shielding makes it much harder to hit them with effects, but I have no issues getting stun locked. I've found that i've had to reload and replay almost every fight 5+ times before things worked out for me, and its all cause you flat out overdid it on the environmental effects. Enemies seem to ALL have ways to inflict multiple elements in the same round, i swear they get more action points than we do. I swear having an Aerothurge on the team is my worst downfall, everything is electrifiable and even my wands seem to have an AoE effect, so i cant even target enemies that are on my fighter cause he's just gonna get stunned.
That coupled with the crappy gear you start with, that just docent have the magic shielding that we would need to survive things like this. The enemies are running around with 100+ shields meanwhile my mage in all the cloth i could find only has a 35. This may be way late in the development cycle, or maybe i lost my touch (i was quite good at the last D:OS), but im finding it hard to have fun with the elemental effects being what they are.
