I did not ask for a solution. As i said i finished the game a long time ago (i did not even play on linux at the time). The way to make it work is known.
But it is also a unofficial workaround. A HACK.
It does not constitute a solution and does not really count as supporting the game for the platform since this is recognized as a game bug and not a driver issue.
And although most linux users are skillful enough to try such hacks a deal good of more casual linux users are not.
I know the market share for linux is small, maybe too small to be worth it. And i do understand that the company has naturally other priorities now with the launch of the sequel.
But since Larian is still selling the game for the platform it would be natural to request some basic support for it, basically being able to play the game on the platform without hacks using the drivers that even AMD itself understands as the default consumer drivers.
Do not get me wrong...I have been a Larian fan since the first divinity and i have huge respect for you and understand the difficulty of supporting multiple platforms. But i have also seen how amazing you can be in responding to bug and technical problems even for the random user in the forums. I hope you do the same for the linux user portion of your fanbase, no matter how small it is.
