Larian Studios Forums Divinity: Original Sin 2 Divinity - Original Sin 2 - General Level Area Advice?

I did not play the EA much, never got more than level 3, but decided now to give the "new" build a try.

Could you as trained players give a rough advice when to go where with what?

My group is still level 3 far away from uplevel, relatively badly equipped (what I found); I did the skeleton, orange quest, the turtles, Gavin's crocodiles, the nasty frogs, the Arena and some smaller stuff. Is there more on the surface? Griff and his villains and all magisters are still alive.

Recently I got into the prison under the Fort Joy through the statue. Where I killed the first four magisters and their dog near the wounded magister guy, unfortunately with one casualty on my side. Then I ran out of lockpicks (didn't know they are one-use, stupid, isn't it? ). Back to buy some.

And now? Is it too early to explore Fort Joy main floor? Did I miss considerable xp out of it? I'm often quite lost to find quests. There were presumably similar threads earlier in the EA, if so, do you have a link?

Don't go down Gavin's cave to Fort Joy, you can't get back up unless you have lockpick, but even then there is far better quests to level from. My suggestion is instead sneak past the creepy level 10 dude into the swamp and fight the skeletons then viscous voidlings near the ruins.

I like you, was struggling to find places to level up too. I provided it in my review.

Sounds interesting but I don't even know about what area you are speaking. Is it available if you teleport your group down to the beach where I teleported Gavin? Never was there.

I got down to the prison floors under Fort Joy through the statue's hatch near the Fort's entrance after the advice of Lord Windermere (in the cave with the children; I think this is known to anybody and no spoiler any more).

From where do you get access to the swamp? Could you link to your review (if it is not the recent thread on the first page)?
