Larian Studios Forums Divinity: Original Sin 2 Divinity - Original Sin 2 - General Level 3 at fire slugs? Having trouble.

Hey all. I'm level 3 at the 4 fire slugs in the escape tunnel. The fight is close but I typically restart after I lose 3 people. I know the basics of the game (combos and such) but I'm not quite up on the ins and outs. Is level 3 too low for this area? If so how do I go back? Any tips for this fight? I've got the lizard, the thief, and ibn whoever. Thanks for help.

Yes that is a tough fight at that level. You need to keep them wet. Water and air magic works best, drink a fire resistance potion for better survivability. I would wait until you are level 4 though.

Where would I level up at this point. Would I have to go back and teleport myself up the hill again and finish a quest or something? I only had the imprisoned elf quest uncompleted.

Um it's hard to say without knowing everything you have done. There is a lot of exploration exp available. If you completed the magister quest on the beach with the crazy guy you should have picked up the key to the gain access to the jail. You need to teleport yourself up into a ledge though. It's super difficult to explain sorry.

In of your companions have pet pal, you can just talk to the main queen slug and avoid the fight alltogether and advance to level up with another quest.

Definitely my preferred approach. All the clouds of steam made for quite a tedious battle even when I didn't get pwned.

Ok so I pet palled the slug but I can't find a way out. There is a ladder leading me to the beach with yarrow but I see no other way out. Help!

There's a way into the dungeons of the castle, but if you came in that way... Well... Said dungeon entrance is behind the queen slug.

I've come from the dungeons I think. I killed the 4 guards and there is the chick in the cell. There is the door to main floor of dungeon I haven't tried but the game is hinting it would be suicide to go that way

You can go up the ladder to near the Yarrow guy if you have more quests left or more NPCs to talk to, remember, there is a cave near the healer that has npcs, another quest and 3 frogs deeper in that are good for exp.

Otherwise, you can go upstairs in the castle if you're level 4 (maybe even with level 3), and you can fight up there.
