TLDR at bottom

So I just finished my second play-through in Classic mode and, I must say, the game has become a breeze and I feel ready to take on Tactician.

I haven't tested this combination yet; For the purpose of using the Bully talent on my Man-At-Arms character, of the 50% damage bonus to targets that are crippled, slowed, or knowcked down - does "Oiled" count as a slow debuff?

What I've noticed is that when I wear boots that grant immunity to slow, is that I'll still get slowed when walking through oil as an "Oiled" debuff rather than a "Slowed" debuff.

This is very similar to the difference between enchanting boots with Nine inch Nails for slip immunity but doesn't give you Knockdown immunity, for example.

TLDR:
So my question is; Does bully do 50% more damage to "Oiled" targets as well? I was planning on using Geo skills on my 2nd main character (Midnight Oil/Boulder Bash) to compliment a Zombie/Bully Cleric main who will be using Battering Ram, Crushing Fist, Cripple, etc... Is there synergy between these two characters in that regard?

I did some searching and found some reddit and steam posts about this but everything seems to just be speculation rather than confirmation.

Can anybody confirm this?

I never payed attention to it but I think that "Oiled" does not count for "Bully" because it's a separate status.
Oiled did not exist in the Classic version, it was introduced for EE. One reason might have been to reduce the number of sources for Slowed especially for the talent.

Yeah I have confirmed via my own testing that Oiled doesn't trigger Bully damage bonus.

So far my playthrough is going swimmingly though. I am about to ding level 10 and wrap up Cyseal in a few more hours. No full party wipes yet, which is boding well for Honour once I am done with Tactician. (Although I REALLY am not looking forward to the desert plateau in the Silverglen map with the spiders.... good lord that is the most annoying area of the game without Slow immunity boots). I've been running into many situations that I thought were going to be really hairy that turned out breezy due to stealing everything in sight and crafting almost every weapon I use vs. my last play-through which my builds were messy and I wasted a lot of gold on experimenting and marginal upgrades.

I always roam all the traders, especially those in Silverglen for Slow Immunity boots ...

(If you're not totally against it: the traders offers can still be 'save-scummed' to some extent ...)

You have tons of stuff you can do before heading to the desert, like Hiberheim and the Mines.
If you haven't done it yet: your best chance to get a full party wipe throughout all the game is probably Braccus Rex.

I'm not against save-scumming at all. I'm actually doing this right now in the Cyseal trap house with all the chests there, plus vendor re-rolls.. LOL

Going to grab level 10 first and craft some lvl 5 CR weapons for everyone and add essences and gear boosts then do braccus. Should have most party members at about 600-700 VIT with about 20-30% all resists and crazy damage by the time i do Braccus which is WAYYYYY more than my Classic play-throughs and that fight was a breeze on Classic. Interested in seeing the differences on Tactician. So far the hardest fight was SparkMaster5000. But I managed to beat it by literally just charging in and keeping him stunned and frozen the entire fight
