Hello forum!

I really love the game so far, and i cant wait for the full release! Yuhey!

But there is one simple thing that bothers me. I really like the lizard race, but when lizards wear "boots" the soundeffect for the footssteps changes to the casual boot-SX. Even though theres actually nothing between the sole and the floor. (Atleast what i see, also i only saw like the first boots of the game)

I am a guy of immersion and no ohter soundeffect will be played as much as this one. I cant unheared it!

Soooo, i really would like to change that detail, if its possible. smile

Well thats all, sorry for my english. Its not my first language. And sorry if I overlook something.

Thank you very much for the game!

Interesting. Agreed that it is an immersion problem. I have no lizard but two elves in my party. My male main goes barefoot all the time, Sebille wears "boots" which appear to be mostly shin/foot wraps with bare soles of the feet. I did not notice a different sound but I most probably listened not carefully enough. I'll have to test it.

I found ohter (more heavily) boots now. And with those, it actually sounds like barefoot or without any boots (how it should be).
Maybe this is fixed in the fullversion. If not it would be worth looking at i guess. Could be a bug or something.

I looked at it, elves have the same footsteps barefoot and with boots. Which is good as the elven boots leave the feet bare, at least the soles. And that's a cunning design (although I don't allege that Larian thought it through) because people used to go barefoot have sturdy and resistant soles and most protection is needed for the top of the feet.

I hope the lizards get it right in the release.

I discovered that again yesterday when I dropped my Kindle on my foot, which is surprisingly painful and I now have a bruise.

Then again, stepping in something squishy that the cat's been eating isn't as painful but it's a very unpleasant experience.

Hehehe. We all know, you can only live a barefoot life far away from cats. And electronic books.

On a unrelated note, once I read a report of a German explorer who toured through Africa in the 19th century, he wrote about a tribe living in a region with very sharp and spiky rocks, the natives could walk there barefooted in areas where the leather shoes of the Europeans got ripped to pieces.

Ugh, I couldn't imagine that. It's painful enough walking on the gravel path without shoes, though I never really seem to learn.

Still, they obviously had it easy since they didn't have errant Kindles and half-eaten voles to contend with.

Well, the sound bug is still there. If i equip leather boots on a lizard, the footstep sound is different. Even though they are still barefoot.

I guess the devs have many ohter problems at the moment, but i hope this will be fixed eventually.
