Larian Studios Forums Divinity: Original Sin 2 Divinity - Original Sin 2 - General Preloading?

So I already have the early access version installed - does any one know if it will update before the 14th so we can start playing right away? Or will I have to spend most of the 14th downloading before being able to play? I don't have very fast internet so it would be nice if I could start downloading the full version before release day.

No one knows so far, plus we do not know will it be patch or new game totally. Maybe game downloads in the "background" but does not let access to full game until official release date. But that all is mine personal guessing (looking on how some other companies did similar stuff, like Blizz for example)
But as I said dunno mate but anyhow considering on amount of stuff that will be in that patch (just look on audio stuff alone) it will be a BIG patch my guess is minimum 10gig.
So make space on hard drive in case you are low on space

Thanks....hard drive space isn't an issue, it's just I'd prefer not to wait a full day or two downloading before playing. I hope the devs realize this and allow background downloading or preloading.

I just realized I forgot to look on most obvious place, DOS2 steam store page, it sais there minimum space required for the game will be 35gig, so I guess it will demand some time to install (one of reasons why DOS is one of those games that I never uninstalled, if we dont count uninstalling classical and installing enhanced edition)
It seems my guess of 10gig was a littttttllllle bit under size.

It would be nice if we could preload considering I have a wobbly XDSL connection that's lucky if it manages 10 Mbits (okay, I've been meaning to get it fixed for years but you know how it is). So it'll probably be ready by about the end of October.

In the meantime I have the joy of spoilers since I have to keep an eye on things here. D:
