I just updated the game and it will not load. I am running through Steam.

Connection to the Larian support server failed. The Larian support tool will be disabled. Unable to connect to the remote server - - A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond

Had to manually uninstall some mod files from EA.

had the same problem. Game would start after closing the dialog box with the error message, as above, but friends could not join my game.

Fixed by starting EOCapp as admin from the file folder

Ive been having the same problem. Running as admin bypasses the connection error, but im still having problems with people connecting to me. they get to 90% loading and will stay there. Ive waited for as long as 20 minutes and people on connect to me. I can connect to other people if they host but only for about 10 minutes then I lag out. cant loot or trade inventory, can load when i leave an area.

I tried allowing the support tool to bypass Windows firewall. This did not help the issue.

Having this issue also.

My support tool does nothing. It just boots the game and thats it.
