Am I supposed to have a weapon at the start? People talk about starting weapons, but I'm already off the ship and I still have no weapons.

I remember reading they made a change about starting weapons. You don't START with a weapon, but after the event on the ship that kills almost everyone on the ship, there is a chest that has some basic starter weapons.

Don't recall where I read that (it was a youtube video), but that's where you got your starter weapons, after the "blam" where the sourceror summons the voidwoken.

Don't have a copy right now so I can't confirm it, but that's what I remember.

May want to do a quick restart and check that. That first part is only like 5 minutes or so. They may have changed things with release.

Yes, in the room is chest to loot with a selection of weapons in it.

It's a nice touch of immersion (logically they wouldn't leave you with a weapon) and lets you avoid having to do what many players probably did "I want to start with a shield, so select preset that has a shield then customize it with the skills i want".

I certainly know that I did that with D:OS!

A QoL + Immersion change that is definitely nice.

Me and especially Stabbey spent a lot of time and effort arguing weapons should be removed from player at the very start.

I would expect that dead magisters have a few to loot too.
