I am playing from a Notebook (Schenker XMG P502) with a Radeon HD 8970M. I set the Radeon settings for the game but in the game it won't let me select the Card. It only gives me the option to switch monitors, both on my Intel HD Graphics 4600.
I can't disable my onboard Video Card in my BIOS and my drivers are up to date. All other games work perfectly fine with the radeon settings.

This was a problem in Divinity OS. Make sure your graphic card software is set to use your dedicated GPU. There is also some program that tells you wich GPU is currently used, like GPU-Z.

Also in the BIOS, there is an option called Secure Boot Device. This, when deactivated, D:OS recognized my GPU.

Also try Fraps, to help you know your FPS. This can also help you determine how well the game run.

I've tried all that I'm having a similar issue, with the game not using my 750M card.

I don't own the game so I can't really help. Maybe @Raze can.

Did you try with GPU-Z ?
