Hey guys, really not sure what happened here. Using GOG and GOG Galaxy. I have a save from that same play through that works, but this issue is it puts me at 2 hours into the game instead of 7. Really hesitant go through everything again just to deal with my save being incompatible again.

If you're just overwriting your save, that's likely the problem. I tested this just now because I noticed mine still says 1h08m(I had been overwriting my save) and when I made a new save in its own slot, it displayed the correct hours, which was 3hrs01min. Makes me think save overwriting is not safe to do.

Do quick saves overwrite each other?

No they don't, and from what I can tell, they don't display the number of hours played, just the number for that particular quicksave(for my it said quicksave_0 and made another that said quicksave_1).

What annoys me is that you can't choose to load from a specific save from the main menu.

I've been mainly doing quick saves. I did have a manual save, but it was from the correct time. Everything includes the quicksaves can't be loaded anymore except for the manual save made 2hrs into the game.

I think to be on the safe side, just do manual saves, and only do quick saving as needed.

Yes you can, don't click continue click campaign->load.
