I'm considering wizard/summoner build and figure I'll choose the four elements, aerotheurge, geomancer, hydrosophist, pyrokinetic, and maybe summoning. Though since my friend and I are gonna two-man through the game, polymorph might be necessary in place of summoning. Beyond these I figure I'll grab bartering, persuasion, and a little bit of loremaster and telekinesis.

With the way Lone Wolf works, I figure I don't need that much skill points in my attributes and combat skills (unless combat skills go above 6) but I might be spread thin on my civil skills. Friend of mine is gonna focus on sneaking and thievery I think for his rogue.

Does it seem I might be spreading myself a little thin for both my combat and civil skills or I'm probably fine with combat but spreading thin on civil skills?

Comments and opinions are appreciated,

Thank you

Lone Wolf does not double points put into social stuff, so yeah, wanting to take 4 different things will be surely to thin.

The other stuff more depends on the skills you will use in the end.

Thanks for the reply. I may just focus on maxing barter and persuasion while taking loremaster and telekinesis to only a few points. I've read skills go up to 10 now instead of 6?

Though I am not sure what more points in loremaster do. I assume at some point certain monsters or items requires higher loremaster to example or ID.

Higher loremaster will me mainly needed to identify better stuff. No sure, but traders can do that now too, or I am mixing it with a different game? laugh

For Barter you probably will be able to gather items with +1, trading outfit if you wanna call it that way.

You friend does take nothing?

For now I think he is taking thievery and sneak. Not sure what his third or fourth civil skills might be. I guess he could take barter as his third skill.

You probably don't need Loremaster or Barter for Lone Wolf. The extra cash you get from having a bunch of items you can't use means you will have plenty of gold after you overcome the Fort Joy area. I ended Act 1 with 15,000ish.

That means you can put Persuasion on one character, and Thievery on the other. You can also splash a few points of Sneak or Telekinesis if you enjoy those skills.
