So I have Seb (Scoundrel) in my group and am level 5 and she still does not have one point into thievery. I wish when you recruit a party member their stats could be changed.

Seems logical that a scoundrel would have at least one point into thievery to open doors/pick locks ect.

Anyone else notice this ? Is this intended to curtail thievery in the early game or am I missing something?

There are 2 rogue preset.

One goes for Sneak
the other goes for Thievery.

You have to ask for the companions to go with the shadowblade one (1 Scoundrel 1 Metamorphosis, chicken stealth and backstab teleport) for them to put points into Thievery at the start.

Hmm ok, weird to have a Seb the scoundrel with zero thievery at game start, seems counter intuitive. It's been a royal pain not to be able to get through doors without having to melee or arrow them down. Thanks

You can use Beast (specced as a Shadowblade) for steal work that has to be done. And make a proper rogue from Sebille.

I honestly wish more classes started with thievery. I want to take Persuasion on Lohse as a MC but I can't because I don't want to use a shadowblade on any of my characters.

It is pretty sad that thievery or bartering is pretty much mandetry while stuff like lucky charm is still absolutely useless.

It's quite a bit insane. After I read of the method to avoid the stupid pre-leveled companions I went from lvl 5 to my lvl 2 save and recruited again. I had no Thievery in the group and that's hard.

I want Sebille as Ranger. There is no good way to make a Ranger in my opinion. I don't want Arrow Recovery but Far Out Man and I also want Thievery 2 (level 1 is not much worth). Can not be combined. In the end I made Sebille a Shadowblade, the Guerilla talent is not my wish but I have to live with it. Such a waste.

Guerilla talent also works with bow and greatly increases your damage for snipe/assassinate on pre emp attack if you plan on using that for massive early damage since that's like the only use for the skill now. My Ifan had to go shadowblade too as my go to second ranger/spear warfare and the biggest waste is actually the 2 on Scoudrel.

I mean it kinda makes sense for her to not have thievery since she isn't a thief but a assassin.

I've used thievery like once.

People forget you can destroy doors and chests??

Thievery is not for chests and doors, it's for people. And destroying people has... consequences.

Some doors have a lot of health, lockpicking is much faster then.
