I'm hoping someone here will be able to help since i've exhausted all other options.
Whenever I try to start DOS:2 through steam the game refuses to play, as soon as I press the play button steam tells me that the game is running (green border around my profile picture and a my status in my friends list saying "Playing Divinity Orignal Sin 2). This goes on for a few seconds but the game does not start. Then it will close and steam will say its no longer runinng (Does not show the green border or the message anymore).
If I try to start the game directly from the '..\SteamApps\common\Divinity - Original Sin\Shipping\EoCApp.exe' the game starts no problem and can be played. However I cannot access the features that steam provides this way.
The biggest thing that has changed is that I have installed an SSD and have put windows and steam onto that and then placed my games, including DOS:2 onto my HDD.
I have tried all the common solutions that are given and none seem to work...
Also to note, this is only a problem with DOS:2. I have gotten all my other games to run through the current setup I have (PUBG, Sonic Mania & CSGO to give examples).
Hoping to get a solution to this problem quick!
