when i go to the ancient empire consulate the portal dissappears as soon as i go near it, can someone help me?

no, i mean as i am approaching the portal i can see it, but once i get up to it, it disappears, but the game acts like it is there since the quest text changes, but i cant enter it

is anyone else having this problem, its part of the red prince story line, where your trying to find his lover for the second time
