If you look at this image you will see that if you are a Wizard class and go huntsman skills your skills scale off of intelligence. Now, when you make the character and play the game, if you hover over those same skills it says it scales off of Finesse... PLEASE FIX/CLARIFY.

Huntsman skills scale off Basic Attack damage. Simply put, it scales off not only the weapon base damage, but also it's required ability (Str, Fin or Int). It works just the same as warfare and a few polymorph skills. However, you can't use Huntsman skills with anything other than Bows and Crossbows, so it's not a versatility, I believe it only works like this so it can scale off your weapon damage instead of having fixed base damages.

I am sorry for my wording; i meant to say that those huntsman skills that i was referring to get a bonus from intelligence while playing wizard class. That being said, when you create the character and play the game, it says those bonuses are based off of finesse instead of intelligence. if you look at the imgur, you will see exactly what i am referring to. I understand that the huntsman skills are based off of basic attack damage but when you say "but also it's required ability" that required ability in the creation screen is "intelligence" and not "finesse". That is why i am confused. If you make a ranger class, it scales off of finesse and not the intelligence; same goes for wayfarer.

hope this clarifies... i mean... it not too important, just trying to figure it all out

Found this earlier, might apply here too.

"Warfare skills, for the most part, scale with weapon damage (not strength or finesse specifically, although since strength, finesse, and intellect increase certain weapon's damage, they also increase warfare skill damage when using those weapons).

So when you're using spears or daggers, warfare benefits from finesse. When you're using swords or axes, warfare benefits from strength. When using staves, warfare benefits from intellect."
