Larian Studios Forums Divinity: Original Sin 2 Divinity - Original Sin 2 - General [HELP]Can't win a single fight (Fort Joy spoilers)

I'm at a point where I think I completed most of the quest in the beach and in Fort Joy ghetto (most of the time in a peaceful manner), the only way to continue the game seem to be through the Prison, my level 3 party is composed by a custom dual wielding Scoundrel/Polymorph Undead, Fane,Lhose and the Red Prince, all with their standard class.
My problem is that every fight from the cells and onward seem impossibile to win, all the enemies have high armors and I get killed before I can destroy them.
I didn't have many problems with fights before but now everything seem to have an enourmous amount of armor and HP, I tried to get the best gear I could find for my party but it doesn't seem enough.
Do you have similar problems? I play on Tactician.

You can try do more quests for more XP
Buy better stuff and Shield
Change your strategy like do hit & run or Trap ennemies in Small corridors and burn them and so on
If they are too powerful come back when you know you can defeat them
For me shields potions eat all the food summoning spells and putting fire everywhere helped me a lot :)

It seems your party is a Little low-level at the point considering you're playing the Tactician Mode. Don't underestimate solving some quests by force instead of peacefully. Enemies' XP will help you to empower your group. I'm not a fan of killing indiscriminately but sometimes some guys deserve that and I diserve the XP. ;o)

BTW. Sneak into places and buildings (there's certain ladder, don't know if you noticed that) at every opportunity and steal portraits and stuff like that. Sell it, and buy useful skillbooks and so on.
