I remember on DOS:EE that I finished the game with tons of grenades and scrolls, that I always thought could come handy, but never really needed to use them, because the spells could cover most of my needs.

So when I started DOS2 EA, I thought that I should spend them more, and I really did. But now, on full release, where did all the craftables went? I can hardly find an empty canister or an empty grenade. When I finally found a vendor who sell those stuff, it costs way more than it should, imo.

I built a character with ambidextrous, confident that he'd be useful chunking 'nades and using scrolls, but his bags are always empty. Why do empty grenades and empty canisters cost 270 gold each? Also, can't craft scrolls, because the basic ingredients, like teeth and animal body parts doesn't seem to be easy to find.

Are the lack loot and the high prices exclusive to Tactician/Honor or is this common on other difficulties?

Nope, I'm grenade/scroll starved too in Classic mode. Those things are so expensive and unlike elemental arrows, they can't be recovered via a skill.

I'm trying to make a character revolving only around grenades/throwing items and so far I've encountered way too many problems in act 1 ;

1°) I don't have enough 'nade and can't make enough. Those things are expensive. (maybe it will be easier in act 2) (Edit : maybe I need to steal more? That should do the trick. I'll try this tonight!)

2°) Ambidextrous don't seems to works when you only have a Shield equiped. Maybe because you can only equip your shield in the off-hand. I hope someone try to make a mod to equip your shield in the main hand. Or a fix. :P

3°) I don't know how/if grenades damages scale? They are fine for act 1 (heck, they even pack quite a punch!) but I don't know if they are still efficient after level 10-15
Anybody knows how their damages are calculated?

I'm trying to go for that kind of character. But if the grenades are not good enough or I can't make them work, I'll try to just grab some pyro skills (sabotage, explosive trap) mixed with some scoundrel skills (Wind up toys, chlorophorm, adrenalin etc)

But let's hope that the grenade are worth it on their own. :p
