I went for Warrior. My Deathknight can be the Mage.

Agreed, HandEFood. The deathknight seems to have less customability with armor and weapons, so I think a path that's more magic reliant is better for him.

Custom (Warrior-Mage) both for Hero and DK

Mine is going to be mainly a mage, maybe some other skills I think that are worth investing, but I have to see first which skills I'm going to find. Maybe I'll give him some ranger skills for the moments when my mana supply has run out. my choice is custom........i'll see when i play what my character will become...

Bit of everything I hope, just like DD! Maybe ranger though. (Good old 'elemental arrow' hooked me on this!)
DK will be the tank.

I am thinking alone the lines for my hero a mage with warrior skills and the DK a warrior with survial skills.

I always play as a Mage.

a side note to my first post, that my hero is going to be mage and the Deathknight warrior, is just for the first time I'm going to play Beyond Divinity. Then I'll see which combination I'm going to make for the second time, third time ,...

I never play a mage.. don't like it esp. in the beginning thay have it harder than warriors imho.

That is what makes the a real challenge, taking a mage with all the restictions and finishing the game is great.

I usually play mage aswell, but only because I like magic alot. I mean, when you're a warrior, isn't the game very boring? It's just hack and slash in a way isn't it? Although when you're a mage you have to keep an eye on both your health and mana, while using beautifully animated magic attacks and defences. It's more strategic in a way... I guess that's why I like it more.

I don't like playing a mage either, but I don't want to leave myself too vulnerable to a monster with high melee resistances.
