Larian Studios Forums Divinity: Original Sin 2 Divinity - Original Sin 2 - Help/Tips/Tricks A Hunter of Wicked Things

Hey guys,
I hope some of you can help me. To advance Jahans (and Lohses Personal) Quest A Hunter of Wicked Things you have to kill the demon lizard apprentice on the bloodmoon island. I just did that, went back to Jahan and now have to find out the demon's name, he said something about listening to the dead.
Went back to the Island and searched for spirits but there were only 2 from the enemies I killed and the guy in the north with the mass spirit.
Any ideas? Thanks!

There's an Elven druid spirit who gives you a quest to talk to the tree (in the middle). And if you say her name(the tree) she will give you the name of the demon.

The Elven druid spirit is on the top left of the island and the tree is also a spirit.

I'm stuck here too. I did the "All in the Family" quest early on and no longer have the "Bloodmoon Island Archives" (probably sold it wayy earlier). I've learned that the ghost of the archivist will tell me the trees name, but that never comes up in our conversation. Sooo how am I suppose to learn the trees name? I've also talked to the two remaining spirits including the Elven Druid (I killed everyone else) and they don't give me the name to advance the quest.

"Blood Island Archives" is supposed to be the Archives which is underground below a hatch (north corner), not a book. The book you need to read is the Archivist's Journal, which is in the Archives.

Sorry if I wasn't clear but I don't have the book, I looted the Archives way earlier in the game, and now I have no idea what I did with the Archivist Journal. Its long gone to a trader somewhere. I've gone back to them all and nobody has it. Maybe I sold it either to Tarquin who doesn't trade anymore, or the woman outside of the Blackpit mines who isn't there anymore but I'll be dammed it I can find it and it doesn't look like I can progress without it.

Did you sell the book without even opening it? Because just opening it up would be enough; you don't have to actually read it.

Worst case scenario, it's not that you can't progress the game without this. It's just a side quest. Also, I might be wrong, but I think you can still persuade the tree even if you don't know its name.

Yeah I must not have read it I lifted probably 50 books in that archive. hah! Jahan sent us on a quest to the tree for Lohse and I thought that was an essential one because it involved source. Good to know its not. Thanks for the replies!
