Hey Guys, I'm new here on the forums and I wanted to ask this question: somewhere in the beginning of the game, in the starting town, I killed a cat. Accidentaly of course <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />.

I didn't like it, but I just played on. However, now I've reached Verdistis and all the cats there go crazy! They attack me, like they have telepathic contact with each other!

I would really appreciate it, if someone could help me to get friends again with those little cree...ehm, I mean nice little animals. Or am I doomed to slay cats for the rest of the game <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" />?

well no way to get friends with them again.....it's the same if you kill a dog.....they will all attack you too if you kill 1...

Yes, it is true - no chance, you're doomed!

once you've killed one cat, then all of the other cats in the game turn hostile. there is no way to reverse this effect. you shouldn't have killed that cat in the begining. same thing happens with the K-9 world.

Yeah, and don't forget Otho's pigs... Otho loves it when you kill them.

Seriously though, I know this isn't much help, but in Beyond Divinity they made sure that when you accedentally click on a neutral animal, you are given the option to attack or not, so stuff like this can't happen without you wanting it.

Like Lews said, there's a hostile dog called Lar in the Dwarven Village. You pass it off as a wolf at the time, but it's a dog and causes all dogs to be hostile if you kill it.

Just think of all cats and dogs as being rabid and that you are doing each town a good service if you are good or if evil just kill them all.

Lar's deal? Was a bet he lost with his programmers - he wouldn't be in the game without him knowing it...
Lar is a watchdog in the room as soon as the dwarf isn't in there anymore.

hey I was wondering - speaking of animals - what's with Kitty (the cat in the center of Aleroth) in the begining?

you only get the chance to pet her in the first part of the game...then it seems that I've lost her...I don't know what to say...even so she is neutral and you get to talk to her but not attack her...does she show up later in the game? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" />

IMO Kitty is the cat finding the hero after the starting video.
Yes, you can find her in Aleroth later on - if the orcs didn't kill her due to the Council quest.

I took care to attract the orcs, leading them away from her - and I protected her with both shields, so my Kitty still lives <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shame.gif" alt="" /> - she's not quest relevant.

no it doesn't! you only get attacked by the animals...no need to worry!
