Larian Studios Forums Divinity: Original Sin 2 Divinity - Original Sin 2 - General Ifan Companion Quest bugged

I didn't start the companion quests till after i already removed my source collar and was forced to kill all magisters including Borris. There was no item on his corpse as some online guides suggested. I also talked to Zaleskar nothing. There doesn't seem to be a way to progress this quest past "talk to Magister Borris". Help

Yup, you're stuck now. Need to talk to him right away before you kill them. Better hope you have some old save files.

Same here. Killed Borris before talking to him, no note on his body

I am in the same boat. I do not know if the Ifan quest line is long and goes beyond the island. I would like a dev to say whether or not this is intentional.

Every companion questline last until the game is over or you are forced to kill them/they leave.

I still hope in a patch where they put the note in ifan's inventory if he doesn't have it, Borris is dead and the quest didn't progress

Same thing happened to me, I finally gave up, but at the end of act I, you jump back on his mission luckily.
