So I've seen a few crafted skillbooks here and there that were randomly generated, but has anyone found any books that would give some recipes?

So far I haven't been able to find a single recipe and I kinda don't wanna start painstakingly going through every combination... is there perhaps some out-of-game documentation?

Recipes are simple. It's [Elemental Skillbook] + [Non-Elemental Skillbook]. Elemental is Earth/Air/Fire/Water of course. Non-Elemental is everything else. That gives 24 combinations of regular skills.

If either of the skillbooks is a Source skill, the resulting output will be a different skill which is a Source skill. That gives an ADDITIONAL 24 combinations of Source skills.

Crafted books require 1 point in BOTH schools to use, Source books require 2 points into both.

Here are the Normal crafted skills:


Fire plus ??? gives...
  • Warfare = Sparking Swings - Melee attack, bounces fire to nearby enemies
  • Scoundrel = Sabotage - Detonates grenades and arrows in enemy inventory.
  • Huntsman = Explosive Trap - Plant a trap which takes a turn to set up and detonates when someone gets close.
  • Necromancy = Corpse Explosion - Make bodies go boom.
  • Summoning = Fire Infusion - Transform your Incarnate to a different infusion.
  • Polymorph = Bleed Fire - Target bleeds fire when damaged.



Earth plus ??? gives...
  • Warfare = Oily Carapace - Absorb Oil surfaces from around you and transform it to Physical Armor
  • Scoundrel = Venom Coating - Coat one of your equipped weapons in poison for one turn. (probably not that useful and it doesn't even coat both when dual-wielding.)
  • Huntsman = Throw Dust - Blind enemies.
  • Necromancy = Corrosive Touch - Set acid status on enemies at touch range. DOES NOT EXIST CURRENTLY. Instead, trying to craft this produces the Source skill Corrosive Spray.
  • Summoning = Poison Infusion - Transform your Incarnate to a different infusion.
  • Polymorph = Turn to Oil - Turn Water and Blood surfaces to oil, remove Stunned and Shocked.



Air plus ??? gives...
  • Warfare = Breathing Bubble - Immune to effects from clouds.
  • Scoundrel = Smoke Cover - Create a cloud around the caster, hiding them from vision and blocking sight.
  • Huntsman = Erratic Wisp - Target teleports to a random nearby location after taking damage. (Probably use this only on allies.)
  • Necromancy = Vaccuum Touch - Inflict Suffocation status on target. (Drains magic armor)
  • Summoning = Air Infusion - Transform your Incarnate to a different infusion.
  • Polymorph = Vaporize - Turn all ground surfaces to clouds. Does not work on blessed, cursed or lava surfaces.



Water plus ??? gives...
  • Warfare = Cleanse Wounds - Heal, cure statuses and leave a puddle of water at your feet.
  • Scoundrel = Vampiric Hunger - Attacks on the target life steal 100% of damage done.
  • Huntsman = Cryotherapy - Consume Frozen surfaces around you and convert them to Magic armor.
  • Necromancy = Blood Rain - Puts out fires, makes blood puddles, sets bleeding on enemies with no Phys. Armor.
  • Summoning = Water Infusion - Transform your Incarnate to a different infusion.
  • Polymorph = Healing Tears - Three Tears circle the caster healing allies who are in melee range.

Are the source versions all basically the same, just "mass"? I know I found a "mass corpse explosion" once.

So I went around and bought little source books that I could find here and there and pieced together 7 of the combinations:

Source hydro + warfare = mass cleanse wounds

source fire + scoundrel = mass sabotage

source aero + huntsman = Evasive Aura (like the aero skill evasion, but 90% instead of 100% and 1m instead of 20% movement. Notably worse, and doesn't mention actually increasing your allies' evasion and movement. Due to being called aura and costing 2 ap and a source, I'm going to assume it will actually work as an aura.)

source necro + hydro = Blood Storm (4 AP 3 source, sets disease and decaying touch on enemies. No mention of damage, but the very high source cost might suggest otherwise?)

source huntsman + hydro = Mass Cyrotherapy

source scoundrel + geo = venomous aura (as venom coat, but an aura around caster and lasts 4 turns)

source warfare + fire = master of sparks (target character and surrounding allies recieve sparkmaster status which adds a chance of fiery sparks to melee attacks, I'm assuming this means it's a mass "sparking swings" book)

So it basically seems like most of the source skills are a mass version, with exceptions.

Update: there IS one way to get corrosive touch, I found. Late into the game, one of the limbs an elf can eat will teach it to that elf.

A shame, though, that it isn't useful on sebille. I'd much rather have it on my int-based characters.

Air

Huntsman - Evasive Aura (like Air's Evasion, but as an aura)
Necromancer - Vacuum Aura (air damage, aura to set silence and suffocating)
Polymorph - Jellyfish skin (immune to air/electricity, vulnerable to poison/earth, bleed electric water)
Scoundrel - Blessed Smoke Cloud (create blessed smoke that makes characters invisible)
Summoning - Cursed Electric Infusion (unlock electric discharge and closed circuit)
Warfare - Mass Breathing Bubbles (as breathing bubbles, but mass)


Earth

Huntsman - Dust Blast (all enemies in range, earth damage, blinds)
Necromancer - Corrosive Spray (corrosive touch cone)
Polymorph - Poisonous Skin (immune to earth/poison, vulnerable to air/electricity, bleed poison)
Scoundrel - Venomous Aura (as venom coat, but aura and 4 turns)
Summoning - Acid Infusion (unlock poison dart and corrosive spray)
Warfare - Mass Oily Carapace (as oily carapace, but mass)


Fire

Huntsman - Deploy Mass Traps (deploy 4 traps, individually targeted)
Necromancer - Mass Corpse Explosion (mass version)
Polymorph - Flaming Skin (immune to fire, vulnerable to water, bleed fire)
Scoundrel - Mass sabotage (mass version)
Summoning - Necrofire Infusion (unlock fireball and epidemic of fire)
Warfare - Master of Sparks (I believe aura version of sparking swings)


Water

Huntsman - Mass Cyrotherapy (as cyrotherapy but mass)
Necromancer - Blood Storm (Blood everywhere, disease and decaying touch on all enemies, damage not mentioned)
Polymorph - Icy Skin (immune to water, vulnerable to fire, bleed ice)
Scoundrel - Vampiric Hunger Aura (as vampiric hunger, but aura)
Summoning - Blessed Ice Infusion (unlock restoration and healing ritual)
Warfare - Mass Cleanse Wounds (mass version)
