So I rented Malcolms house from Trevor on day 67 for one month. Now its day 87. How long is a month (28 to 31 days) and what happens for next months payment. Is it auto deducted or(if I forget)will I go back and I've been evicted and my stored gear confiscated?

I'm not sure how long a game month is or if there is any grace period, but AFAIK the house gets locked when your time is up. I believe renting the house again, or buying it, will let you get any stuff you left there.

OK thanks. So it sounds like a full save anytime now just in case...

Well at least I know the answer to my own question - to my cost. One month is about 40 days. You cannot pay an advance further down payment. When time is up all the stuff you store in the chest disappears (with the chest) and paying more rent does not restore your gear nor let you use the bed. I reloaded and lost about 3 hours real time play. Rats!!

If you rent a room in the Ducal inn, you can re-rent the room to get your things back after your time is up (IIRC it is by the week). It kind of sucks the same thing does not happen for Malcolm's house. They at least could have tossed all your stuff in the yard before locking the house up.
