I'm having this persistantly annoying issue where my root templates don't save.

I make changes (rename them, edit the properties), click the little save button in the root template manager, then click save all, and when I close and reload the editor, the root templates revert to their previous names/property values.
I've even had some root templates I've deleted come back.

One final part of this issue is sometimes when I exit the editor, it crashes. Though, with that said, I've had a successful exit and the root templates still did not save.

Is the Message Log saved somewhere so I can check if there's an error when exiting?

Ah, looks like the problem was because my Public and Mods folders were symlinks. My Mods/Public folders were symlinks to folders outside the game directory I use to organize my mods.
When I deleted the symlinks and moved the folders in, it saved this time.

Looks like that didn't fix the "crash when exiting" issue though.

I have this issue despite not dabbling into symlinks myself. I'm able to create root templates, however anything I try to change about them is reverted upon reloading.

You could try checking a few things to try and narrow down the problem:

• Does clicking the tiny save button in the root template manager make a difference?
• Do you have any duplicate root templates in your folders? For example, some backups you made. Apparently the editor may try to load those.
• Try rename your root template files' extension from lsf to xml, and check if the root templates show up in your project after exiting the editor (good way to check if duplicate files may exist somewhere).

Same problem here i have added 4 new templates at first i could edit the name and stuff.
But if i set the use action attribute i won't save upon closing. It works just fine runtime but it just won't get saved. Some times it crashes upon closing too.

Thats very annoying.

were you editing in the Sandbox? We've noticed an issue where root template changes also don't get saved in the sandbox, while they indeed should be saved. We're working on fixing that for our next patch.

The problem was the sandbox, i just switched to Basic and it saved the templates.
