Larian Studios Forums Divinity: Original Sin 2 Divinity - Original Sin 2 - Help/Tips/Tricks Arena of the One - Possibly a spoiler

During this arena its everyone for themselves to reach the end first and become the divine. When you reach the end all three of your companions die permanently. Does this always happen? I mean I had the chance to loot them and hire new ones but still... I wonder if theres some sort of dialogue or workaround to keep them alive?

They all stayed alive with me. However, the ones that stayed alive were companions(Red Prince, Fane, Sebille). Did you hire adventurers from Zrilla? Did you talk to them to decide who should become divine?

Lohse, Sebile and Ifan. Maybe it was due to my dialogue choices. I cannot recall it. I was just very surprised to see them die permanently when I reached the end and Dallis killed them. Thought it was supposed to happen because it's hinted all the time during act 1 and 2, but didn't see any outrage on forum, that's why I asked :P
