So guys,

I would like to play rogue because in DOS 1 i had a rogue and a shadowblade (they were brothers. So much Fun). As im searching for good rogue builds im finding that the rogues are pretty weak in DOS 2, is that true? Rogues still can play stealth?

What build do you guys recommend to combo with scouldrel? I was thing about necro or aero (bc Teleport and stuff), but im opened to suggestions.

Thank you all

You need to take polymorph for stealth, if I'm not mistaken.

Aero isn't that good as combo anymore, because aero goes against magical armor and rogue against normal. And only Chloroform helps vs magical armor.

I would never take Aero on a Rogue for the Air damage. But I might for all the utility skills, like Teleport, Netherswap, Uncanny Dodge and others too.

In D:OS1 scoundrel and aero was a fun combination: double stealth, damage reduction, nice amount of CC and stun immunity from level 5 aero was probably the best, because of rain and electrified water (never bothered to but Scoundrel on 5). But the armor system kind of killed it.

Just combo with Polymorph, it gives you all the tools you'll need. (Better hard CC, more movement options via Flight, some AoE damage, etc)

Other than that, 2 points in Huntsman will give you Tactical retreat which gives you yet another way to get around the battlefield quickly.

From what I've experienced, worst tree in D:OS2 is Huntsman. Although the bows/xbows can have high base damage, having height advantage is not possible in a large amount of fights and a chore in the ones that do allow for it and all of it's damage abilities feel like much worse version of mage abilities. The AI seems to even be designed to not allow you to have height advantage over it, climbing ladders just to deny you. And first aid good god, why is it's range like 2 feet when you can AoE heal, heal, fortify and Frost Armor from across the map.

(The magic trees have better AoE, Crowd Control, utility, healing and damage.)

Ya, rogues are in a p. bad spot because of how AI ignores tanks and goes straight for you, or the mages; It's harder for a scoundrel-rogue because you have to be up-close. No joke in most fights enemies spend their first turn just ccing / pummeling my rogue, which on one hand gives the rest some breathing room, but on the other also often kills the rogue. I love playing tanks but -not- when I'm trying to play rogue!

I'd suggest taking 2 in huntsman for self-teleport + first aid, then if you REALLY want to be a portal wiz 2 in aero -- but that's it, you really don't want to be leveling int as a rogue so dipping further into magic for dmg is wasted effort.

On the other hand warfare skills receive bonus from finesse so they seem a natural fit, with how strong knockdown and battering ram are AND with how warfare also increases your physical dmg it seems like a p. straightforward thing to take after 2 points in scoundrel for yer base skills (until you get access to better ones).

And as others said, poly is your 2nd finesse tree so it seems like a great fit. I keep hearing that rogues with chicken claw are borderline broken, but as someone who enjoys a more 'warrior' playstyle I found warfare a better thematic fit. But I can also see how having chicken claw / wings / bull horns / medusa head is maybe better than the two warfare stuns, as other warfare skills don't scale particularly well for daggers.

Chicken Claw can shutdown the toughest mobs in fights. It's like a 2 turn stun, and I killed a dragon just by using Rupture Tendons (he kept moving around and killed himself) that ability is amazing when fighting enemies with ADHD.

And yea, you can use the 2 knockdowns from Warfare with the Shadowblade as well.
