I've been tasked to kill the mother tree by Saheila - so I kill the scion that's guarding the heart, but I can't seem to damage the heart in any way. How can I destroy the heart?

I've also killed the Shadow Prince already, I'm not sure if that is relevant or not.

Thanks for the response. I killed him for Syblles quest before going to the tree, so I'm not sure If the bomb is still attainable.

sebille can also just kill her.

Wait..how can sebille kill the heart? I've tried everything, nothing works on it...how exactly do i kill it?

I tried a bunch of stuff, I couldn't figure out how to do it. The only way I've seen work is the deathfog bomb you get from Shadow Prince.

Unfortunately, if you kill him, there doesn't seem to be a way to get the bomb. I just moved on - it was kind of a bummer.

Go back outside using the flower, Sahiela will be waiting and will tell you to kill her.

Then you go back inside and you just click the heart. (If you hover over it, you'll see it light up and your mouse pointer will change). I just did it like an hour ago, so if this doesn't work, it might be bugged for you guys.

For me, I killed the shadow prince before this (he said nothing about the tree) and also ate his heart with Sebille.

i also killed the shadow prince and ate his heart with sebille. I also talked to sahelia and she told me to kill the tree. But it doesn't work. I click it and nothing happens but a dialog i can only "1. end". I tried to hit it with staff and multiple weapons and i also whacked the shit out of it for 5 minutes.

Then i killed the elf in front of it.

Any ideas?

Now that i think about it... maybe my staff has poison on it and the heart is immune? I think i'm going to try it with a nice warm shower or meteors this evening. :P

Try talking to it with Sebille. The dialog should pop up unless it's bugged.

Which is nothing new considering just how unpolished the game is currently.

You can still do it after the Shadow Prince is dead.

- Kill the elf in front of the heart
- Leave the area via the flower
- When outside Sahiela (blind elf chick) approaches you asking you to kill the mother tree
- Go back inside and take care of business

I did this while having Sebille in my party. I'm not sure if it will work without Sebille.

Unfortunately as simple as that sounds, doesn't work for everyone, myself included. It's most likely bugged for a few of us. Oh well. Honestly in 100 hours, it's the first quest bug I've encountered, so I'm not really complaining.

After some experimenting, I may have figured out the "issue", although this is really still a bug. I went back a few saves to before turning in the Shadow Prince's heart. I ate the heart, which I actually meant to do originally and forgot to do. But upon eating the heart, when you talk to the Scion, and then go back outside to get the request to kill the tree from Sahilia, you then get a slightly different dialog with Sebille, although you still don't get a choice in what she says. She says something like, "I may consider this because she is corrupted." Before it was "I can't do this because I'm the new mother".

I also had her refuse to become the new mother, and the Scion goes hostile. But I just ran out with Sebille, Sahilia is there, but she asks, "Where are all of your friends?" so you have to bring the whole party out one at a time to start the "Kill the mother" dialog. Ugh...

Anyway, this really needs to be fixed, I'm not sure if I feel like going through the whole fight in the tree again...
