I've primarily played with my wife via split-screen co-op using a steam controller and an xbox controller, and we hit lots of issues which seem to be absent for KB/mouse players. I'd like to make a list here of controller-specific issues to raise awareness. Please add your own!

**Combat log** Our biggest grievance is the lack of information about what is happening during fights. With no way to bring up a combat log during fights, we are constantly asking "what just happened?" and have no way to figure it out.

**Delay turn** The special actions you can add to your hotbar don't include a delay turn option, just end turn or flee. This removes an important tactical option for us.

**Quicker examine** Showing vitality/armor values when hovering over an enemy would save us lots of time, since using the examine menu for these values happens so frequently.

Bugs:

- Status effects and armor values don't match portraits. We've seen often that the left/right side portraits don't match the correct game state. Sometimes status effects are missing and the armor values are wrong. The initiative order bar is correct in these cases.

- Pressing B to exit a menu (like inventory) while sneaking will break your sneak.

- If the steam controller goes to sleep, the game locks out all input and the process has to be killed.

- If the "Not your turn" UI pops up, it never goes away until the game is reloaded.

- Resolution changes prompt a warning each time you cycle. Changing from 1080p back to the original 4K causes 10+ warning prompts.

I agree, a lot of useful things seem to be missing from the Controller UI, I have a thread posted about this also.

As far as the Delay Turn goes, it is there, but it's named Guard for some reason. But it's the same thing.

The breaking stealth on exiting a menu is definitely a bug and needs to be fixed. I've also noticed while bringing up the more options menu on items in any inventory seems to cause my character to move sometimes.

I would like to see the character and inventory menu look more like the KB/M with them on the sides and both at the same time.

Plus, no hide helmet option or able to see others inventories :(

Additionally, you are often unable to observe vitality and armor changes at the moment of impact. Since the target is camera center, the pop up that declares the action is usually covering it up. It causes a disconnected experience from the changing battlefield values we are trying to track, especially when you consider the right hand players portraits showing incorrect data

I'd like to ad a few more things:

* Inventory UI is a mess, compared to Keyboard+Mouse. Just look how nice it is in the KM layout, you can see the inventory of the entire party simultaneously. Distributing gear and checking who should use what is a chore with the Controller layout

* There is no onscreen keyboard! That means, using a Controller you can't rename saves, can't put a custom marker on the map (because you have to give it a name!), can't even start a new game (because you can't name the profile)

* During a fight, the camera doesnt seem to follow the NPC making its turn but somehow remains locked to a position. That means if the npc moves a lot during his turn, he'll hit a party member off screen and you can't even see whats going on.

* Often times when you select a skill from the hotbar, it won't really select the skill but just close the hotbar and select moving. You have to be really careful, otherwise you'll move the character instead of casting a spell in that case.

* Also, how is the game supposed to detect the controller? I bought the game from GoG and to use the PS4 controller I have to use an emulator (DS4Windows) for the game to detect it. This brings the problem, that the game won't recognize the controllers touchpad (because DS4Windows can't emulate it) which is supposedly set to open the Map (Which in reality is opened by the Share Key for whatever reason...)

* Please allow Keyboard and Controller input at the same time. That way, we could use Steam Controller Settings or DS4Windows or whatever emulator to bin custom actions to, for example, the PS4 controller touchpad and have it 'press' certain keys on swiping, etc.

Thanks for the pointer about Guard being the same as delay turn

Very strange that it has an entirely different name when using controllers, Guard implies defensive bonus.

I haven't had this issue. I've been able to rename saves while using the controller.

This is in the game already, by clicking in left stick, it gives you control of camera and pointer or locks on the current characters turn. Though this still needs some tuning, like if it's locked on, as you said, you can't see what the enemy is doing to your characters if they cast a spell from long distance.

This could be solved by having the camera lock onto the target when the skill is cast, then switching back after a few seconds.

Also the ability to examine enemies while it's not our turn.
Also Ping! The makings for it is there, click left stick, and when you press "square" or "X" for more options, just add a ping option.

Haven't had this exact problem, but indeed needs to be fixed, there seems to be a strange bug involving UI and moving while using controller.

I use a PS3 controller with SCP Drivers, emulating an Xbox controller, but set to PS4 in Divinity. There are menu options I can't access either because of this, like the connectivity menu while in a lobby. I can switch it back to Xbox, but still the same issue.
