Bear with me this post might be a little lengthy. 1st let me say this game is absolutely amazing and I love the depth and the style of it. I am totally preparing to dump an insane amount of hours into the game, but I keep restarting. Don't yell I know I can respec in Act 2 but then you don't get the starter spells to start off haha.

Here's my issue, I never feel satisfied with the party I have. So I come to you with the question is it better to go full physical damage, full magic damage or a good combination of both? And how important is a support character. Ps for my first play through I am going to play on Classic difficulty.

Here are a few party ideas I have in mind:
-War/Poly/Geo/Con/Str/1-hand
-War/Necro/Str/Int/2-hand
-Hunts/Pyro/Fin/Wit/Ranged
-Summ/Hydro/Int

-War/Poly/Geo/Con/Str/1-hand
-Pyro/Geo/Int/Dual Wield
-Hydro/Aero/Int
-Summ/Necro/Int

-War/Poly/Geo/Con/Str/1-hand
-War/Necro/Str/Int/2-hand
-Pyro/Geo/Int/Dual Wield
-Summ/Hydro/Int

I am spending more time planning a party than actually playing lmao! Help!

*edit: I'm not opposed to Scoundrel/rogue builds, just not the play style that jumps to the front of my mind first haha.

Hi, for starters - dont worry about starter skills, skillbooks are later hard to acquire and you wont miss anything! smile

Respec is definitely possible since start of act2, and its free for every character - so dont worry so much.

And for party - I actually like mixed team, and even mixed characters, atleast a little bit! I like my warfare with three geo spells, I like my mage with necro spells so he can deal physical and magical damage, I like my ranger with pyro for buffs and occasional fire spell light up some surface and so on.. just dont overdo it, but atleast basic support spells should have most of your companions smile

Now I'm leaning towards a duo lone wolves build. I'm thinking 2 mages

-Pyro/Summ/Aero/Dual Wield
-Summ/Geo/Necro
