So in an effort to teach myself both how to use DM mode, and how to use the Divinity Engine 2 editor, I set out to create a campaign that uses some simple custom content (modified versions of existing maps, rescaled enemies). I posted my campaign to the workshop early on ("The Spider Queen's Wrath"), and have been updating it with my progress daily.
I'm now close to 20 hours into this project, and yesterday I finally published my add-on to the workshop and enabled it in my mod, then spent the next four hours creating scenes around those custom levels.
Only the thing is, now when I go to publish/update my campaign with the add-on enabled, I get a pop-up that tells me, "The following items should first be published to Steam Workshop through the Divinity Editor: [My Mod's Name]".
I've been trying to fix this for hours now to no avail. I've tried attaching the mod to my campaign's page on the Steam Workshop as a "required item", tried to re-publish and re-name my mod multiple times, subscribed to it on workshop, etc. I have no idea why I'm having these issues.
(Side note: when I uploaded my campaign to the workshop, it also didn't take a screenshot of my map, so it doesn't have a featured image on the Workshop storefront. I'm concerned this may mean that something bugged out or got corrupted early on, and that the problems I'm having now may be a result of that).
Anybody at Larian or with experience modding have advice for me? Anybody else having these issues? I could really use some help, I've put a lot of work into this already :/
