Once Mordus is affected by Rupture Tendons
He will run any distance tanking the status, even till death.

My last attempt at the fight I teleported him as far as I could.
He wound up in a massive firepool. He ran away from my party, even when he was already in the clear he continued running until he died in one turn, one shotted himself.

Too bad he lost in a such a way as he was crushing me before.

PS: this game is awesome tho

Rupture Tendons needs a nerf IMO, it's way too powerful, and this isn't just Mordus. There are tons of wonky enemy AIs that will just run to their deaths via RT.

CAN WE STOP NERFING THINGS IN A SINGLE PLAYER GAME?

the strategy wont even work with 90% of the enemies christ sake!

Capslock aside I agree with the above. This is a single player game where you can choose how to approach any situation in whatever way pleases you and if a certain strategy seems cheesy or unfun then you don't need to do it wheras if you nerf it then someone is going to have their fun ruined.

In this specific example I think rupturing someone and then teleporting them miles away so they have to walk back towards you is absolutely classic D:OS2 fight strategy and is the sort of thing that absolutely should reward the player.

So many ppls claim they don't need balance in single player game. Of course u don't want your favourite class/combo be nerfed :p But be remind this game has also Coop and Arena. Balance is required.

If you want to try something really fun, hit your tank with rupture tendons, then have your tank shackle of pain on a boss then activate flight to fly away. I wont spoil the ending, but it is glorious.

i think it's a bit silly that rupture tendons goes through physical armor, but honestly, there will always be certain in-battle strategies that trump others because of how the skills work together, and i don't think this means they need to be nerfed. i'd rather let people have their fun

Yes lets just go down the path of balance and make everything the same with different coats of paint like all multiplayer balance cases eventually head towards. Lets remove all this diversity of playstyle and fun discovery of the best tactics and strategies in an RPG because of a niche mode few people play. I hope the devs remember they are making a fantastical adventure and not a moba, for christs sake.

I don't know.
I've read plenty of stories about how overpowered it is combined with polymorph... But I didn't use that combo, and in plenty of other scenarios (almost all of them, in fact) I noticed that if I use Rupture Tendons on an enemy, that guy typically refuses to move or moves just by teleportation.

So I have no problem whatsoever with that skill. I surely won't complain for that ONE OR TWO times it actually works on someone.

Party control in Baldur's Gate 3 is a complete mess that begs to be addressed. SAY NO TO THE TOILET CHAIN

The Rupture Tendons combo is absolutely fine, and is not a foolproof strategy (especially against enemies with alternate forms of movement, who usually just sit there in chicken form in my experience).

With chain-CCing so prominent things like Chains of Suicide and Chicken Tendons aren't really as big of an issue as they would be in DoS1; and outside of Tactician's number bloat there's never really a situation that they aren't just AP-efficient overkill.
