Glass cannon isn't that bad, you just need to be extra careful about perma-auras and cc in general. Atm i'm on tact mode and i'm using 2 glass canon (they are also the first two characters who act, that's important to decrease the amount of cc during first turn). Unless some real shit happens (and something, it happens), i'm able to play at least two full turn with my cannons, because my main archer dps acts (most of the times) first, and he's usually able to knockdown the enemy that would act after, then my second cannon comes into play and throws some other cc on the board. So, i've 12 ap (15 with flesh sacrifice + adrenaline, even more with adrenaline on both chara and executioner if you're able to kill on first turn) to spend in cc/raw damage during first turn.
After that, probably some enemies will cc my cannons, but i've a healer able to remove some of these cc and re-able the next cannon turn.
In conclusion, i think that glass canon is worth it with the right setup.
PS
recently i also bought an amulet with terrify-charme immunity, super ultra extra usefull
