I just wonder what mana and life amount should I aim at certain levels ... let's say 10 - 15 - 20 and so on ?

So far I'm level 13 mage and have 190 life and 210 mana. (so happened that many items I've found had mana and life boost and I haven't had to put a single point into constitution and just a little bit into inteligence)

-> I kill regular trolls with no problems in toe to toe and was able to kill church's leech ... with drinking 3 or 4 minor restoration pots, also killed vampire who had some kid as a hostage ... with drinking whole bunch of minor restoration pots but it was me still standing after the fight <- that's for info how far I went and what are my abilities so far, so you, potential helper would better know what to advise me

I saved up some stats points and I don't know if it would be wiser to spend them on improving my agility or strenth or maybe after certain point game turns more chalenging and every extra life/mana I have comes in handy ?

Also what would be most suitable strenth value for a caster ? I assume I won't have to run around with some uber heavy two handed sword but again armors and shields I spot are getting heavier and heavier.

Ok, now assuming I know how to allocate my idle points, should I boost certain stat immidietly (ie strenth to be able to wear anything I would like asap) or maybe balanced alocating points is wiser move ?

Thanks for hints

Welcome to the forums!

I haven't played as a Wizard, only a Warrior, but I would suggest:

Strength: Enough to wear your favourite armour.
Agility: Even if you can stay out of melee combat, you will still have archers and mages to contend with. If missiles are bothering you, pump some more points into Agility, otherwise don't worry about it.
Constitution: Don't worry too much about it. There are an abundance of potions. You may want more stamina though. Later in the game you may want more hit-points for convinience.
Intelligence: A lot! Also, use Restoration Potions instead of Mana Potions. Mana Potions give you an amount of mana, Restoration Potions give you 100% mana (Small ones give 50%).

Hope this helps! (Hope I have a clue about Wizards! )

differences between classes (minor spoilers) secondary stat calculations

Early Starter Tips (NON-Spoiler Version) (contains much of the information in the above topic).

It depends on your play style and what equipment you find on how you adjust you stats. Basically, put them wherever you are having problems.

Mages should not go toe to toe (against anything tough) except as a last resort. Kiya posted that she opened the vampire coffin while standing in the back corner, then cast Deadly Disks a few times. The vampire was dead before it could even get to her.

Unfortunately, the opposite is the case; the game becomes easier.

Allrigh, thanks for response.
I'm just little too perfectionist to make a character just for a try and then make another

As a wizard, if i were you, i suggested this one.
at first, you gotta check your stuff in your inventory
that does it need and worth stat point to take or not.
as a wizard first things is boost the magic then the
agility for better move. after that life and strength

Good luck, man.

The point is I don't know what usefull items I might find.
I took a look at suggested topics and I kinda agree with strenth boosting at the beggining. It's better and easier just to drink potion to restore mana or life than drink strenth potions or looking for strenth boosting items just to be able to wear good but heavy items. Suggested value was about 65 strenth if I remember that.
