I've gotten a very strange report of a bug with my bard skill mod where making a GM campaign with my mod activated creates a set of 5 party members that can't be deleted. I haven't created any character root templates that are based on party members, and have added very little story scripts. I'm wondering if because my mod is dependent on Origins, and targets both GM mode and Story mode, it's somehow using the Story code for Character Creation and for whatever reason bugging out?

Or is there another reason this may be occuring?

Here's a video of the problem (you can see the problem about a minute in):

I've had a similar thing happen when using shapeshifter's gmaddon mod and an existing campaign I was testing stuff out in. It had a golden lizard paladin type named "Samodel" and a voidling as global characters that couldn't be deleted. I didn't do much testing to try and figure out why, but they had portraits just like characters do and transported to whichever scene I went to. Been messing around with the editor more so than gm mode of late, so I haven't gone back and loaded it up again to see if it's still occurring or anything.

I've had another person run into this problem, as well. Really weird issue.

I'm seeing this right now in the Game mode part of the editor. I'm testing something and want to try it out in GM mode, so the mod targets GM Mode as well. The party list to the left as usual, with my test character as the magical "fifth" character and can link him with the other 4 to form one big party. No kidding, I got 5 portraits on my screen.

The message log isn't doing any complaining about it. I'd say it's some kind of bug that carries over to GM Mode.

Hey Baardvark and others,

I might know why this is happening. GM mode only uses the story scripting of its adventure. Origins can contain some extra player characters such as character creation dummies that are removed by Origins scripting after the character creation step. It might very well be that the GM scripting does not fully account for the possibility of extra player characters.

I'll bring this up with our scripters to narrow down the issue.

To clarify: we did indeed identify some conflicts between both modes and it is on the list of fixes.
This are script changes to character creation however and those are related to the game, not the Engine. Hence, they get updated in game patches, not editor patches.

As we are working on important game fixes/improvements, this will probably be addressed in a later patch, instead of the immediate next one. Hence, my apology for any possible delay that may ensue.
