There are two same answers in the dialog of the quest A Man and his Dog.

Can confirm. The issue persists even as you find [spoiler] again in [spoiler]. The quest also remains open then, I'm curious if it ever concludes ^^

when you do [spoiler] in [spoiler] you get [spoiler] and then it ends with a [spoiler] ... hope that helps.
