I rescued Carolines boy in the Dark Cave and the Vampire has locked himself behind a door that is controled by a lever on the other side. How can I get through this door I am a warrior with no pick lock skill and my asunption would be that pick lock would not work anyway since a lever mechanism controls the opening and closing of the door. Any help here would be much appreciated!!! Also this my first encounter with a vampire. If anyone has any tips on the best way to take him out that would be excellant!!

If anyone has any tips on the best way to take him out that would be excellant!! get ur lock pick or telekinese ( bd speller) up to gain entry! make sure ur levels r high cos i doesnt take long for u to die if ur a week caracter! oooo an use freeze but it has to b high to <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />

You need level 2 of either Lockpick or Telekinesis to get into the cave. Telekinesis spell books can be bought. Free skills, and spell books you can buyYou can get 2 levels of Lockpick by joining the thieves' guild in Verdistis, though you need a level of Pickpocket and Lockpick to be able to do so (which you may be able to find as an equipment bonus on a ring, or something).

Thanks guys for the help I went ahead and put 2 levels into lock pick so I guess i should be good to go on that for now. Now to get back there and snuff out that blood sucker!!

I would assume you could substitute a bow if you have no spells? My character is a straight fighter. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/suspicion.gif" alt="" />

Correct, I even used a dagger - the vampire couldn't get behind the coffin.
The trick is to go as far as you can as shown on the pic - and click on the coffin after you're safely there.

Argh, and I wasted about 20 minor restoration potions while having nice beating form vampire. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/silly.gif" alt="" />
