Hello everyone,

I'm planning to do a GM mode to play with my friend around a personal story and world etc etc, and I ended creating all sort of map on the divinity engine, day by day i'm learning how to use it and getting a little bit more familiar with it, but, i searched a lot and found nothing about this.

How can I put an animation to my NPCs or make them sit, i have a tavern with many people, looking at their chair/bench like dummys.
Not very very important but.. it's a bit dumb to have every one standing up^^

I already tried to add a "sit" script, and tried to put the ID of my bench in the "seat" slot, but nothing happened, i suppose I'm doing it wrong..

Thanks for your answers,
sorry for the bad english, not native ^^'
Have a nice day.

Possess character then click on chair/bench. That's how you do it in gm mode at least.

For everyone still wondering:
1. Make sure the chair you want to use has a name that starts with "S_". This is used by scripts to filter items that are supposed to be assigned in script parameters.
2. Select your character and in the Sidebar property "Scripts" add the "Sit" script
3. Select the assigned "Sit" script and in the "Seat" parameter, select the chair you just name S_MyAwesomeCharName

And presto, once you go into game mode, the character will casually walk over and sit on it.

PS: The Sandbox has a couple of sitting people. It was filled with a bit of everything, so browsing through that level often helps in finding how something simple is set up.

Oh, that's good to know for the sandbox level.
I'll try to look at it once in a while. Thanks for the detailed explanation i could not have said it better.

Is it possible to add more than one seat parameter?
For instance having several chairs around a campfire and having several different NPCs all randomly choosing different seats?

Hey Eldarth,

You'd need to make a custom script for that which works like the Sit script but accepts and handles a list.
