Polymorph:
So polymorph is strength based, but when you pick up new party members, and they ask you what class they should become, it is sorted under the finesse skills. Suggesting to you, that polymorph is a finesse based skill.

Warfare:
In the german translation, it makes you think the warfare skills are finesse based, while in reality they should be strength based?

This confusion crops up a lot actually as the tooltips update based on what Weapon you're currently equipping.

Any ability that relies on Weapon Damage (Basic Attack) uses the Weapon's Attribute.

If you're using a Dagger/Spear, then Skills are Finesse based.
If you're using an Axe/Sword/Mace, then skills are Strength based.
If you're using a Staff/Wand then skills are Intelligence based.
If you're using a Bow/Crossbow, then Skills are Finesse based.

There are a few skills that specifically scale off a stat and not a weapon of course.

Chloroform(Scoundrel) scales off Finesse and level.
Tentacle Lash / Flay Skin scales off Strength and level.

There are others of course, that's just a few examples.

Ok thanks... but that still doesn't change the fact that some of the polymorph skills are definately strength based (you wrote it yourself), yet the pure polymorph character is listed under "finesse" when you ask someone to change their class on first meeting.

It should be sorted under the strength based classes imho.

Also makes the shadowblade a less desireable combination. Looks like it would be more effective to combine warfare+polymorph than scoundrel+polymorph.

Hexatron, I looked at the list on fextralife and only two skills relied on STRENGTH.

I just had to clarify the tooltip issue as that question comes up more often than you think. So that part isn't a bug, just the way the tooltips work. As to opinions about Metamorph ... that's up to debate of course.

If you want to see a somewhat accurate list of what scales with what, do a google for divinity original sin 2 fextralife.

They have a "somewhat accurate" list of all the skills, what type of armor blocks it and what stat (if any) it scales with.

If it says "basic attack" then it scales with your weapon and the associated stat. IE Dagger(Finesse), Mace(Strength), you get the picture.

That may help you make a better decision.
