I received this error for the first time yesterday while playing. I couldn't progress so I went back and did a few things like kill the Sallow Man & searching for Swornbreaker and figured I'd try again today. Same problem.

I got into the Academy and spoken with the big blue guy who transports you to the arena. On that loading screen I get a crash to menu with error codes 302, 704. My save works fine otherwise I just can't get to the arena to become the Divine.

I have tried disabling all mods (I had a skill override mod to remove source requirements and a run speed increase mod). I'd like to not have to start over after playing 24+ hours.

I'm modding up an alternate teleport to the arena now as a backup but would like to be able to do this the normal way.

Update: I uninstalled/reinstalled and the problem persists.

I noticed quests were buggy (Saheila asked me to kill the Mother Tree when I exited the Heart so I went in and did so, when I came out she greeted me as if she were in the caravan outside of the 2nd town map's town). So maybe a flag wasn't set appropriately during my play through?

I can only confirm here that half of nonmainstory dialogues on Nameless Isle (means not just Saheila's) repeat, appear like out of nowhere or have suspicious outcomes (impossibility to persuade the tiger into liking you by any means for example).

All dialogues in this area need some proper cleanup.

Seems like I have the same problem that you do - game just crashes during the loading screen to the Arena of One. Not running mods either. Tried an earlier save before I went to the academy and issue still persists...

Anyone know what error 704 is?

I'm having the same issue, did you by any chance manage to find a solution via mods?

So 2 days ago or so it just self-resolved for me. I think maybe a patch happened? Can someone else test if the game crashes at this point? I'm not sure if it was a patch or my mod that did it.
