Hey,

I have saved a new Effect Editor (Stalagmite_Effect.lsefx), made from opening an already existing effect and modifying it.

When I try to use it, entering its name (Stalagmite_Effect) on the TargetEffect field, it won't work. There is no animation being played at all, as if the field were empty.

What am i doing wrong ?

Effects need to be complied first. The *.lsefx is something like a project file and not the game ready version. From the 'Build' menu, compile your effect. Then you should create a new effect resource through the resource manager in order for your mod to locate it properly. There is some documentation about this on the AllSpark effect editor wiki.

Thank you for your answer.

I have compiled my effect already.

Now I am trying to import it in the Ressource manager but I can't.
When I import it a window is opened and I am asked to either Localize or not, and OK is in gray, I can only Cancel.

Why ?

EDIT: Nvm I found what was missing. I needed to create a new package in the Resource Manager. Thank you very much my effect is now working in game.

Volsungh, how do you go about making a new package in the resource manager?

1 : Create folder
2 : Create package

Thank you! Managed to figure it out on my own a while ago by pushing all the buttons, but had it not been for this post, I wouldn't have even thought to make a package. Relatively new to this stuff.

Now to try and make the skill take the new effect animation... I made a new post about my problems with this that you've already replied to. And again, thank you for helping me along :1
