Well, I'll just preface this by saying that I love DoS2, having finished my first playthrough a few days ago.
However, there is one quest in particular that has really irked me. Not due to difficulty, or confusion, but because of the lack of pay-off and the loose end it provides. The Silent One.
Short background for those who don't know it:
You discover a young girl who was possessed by a demon and seems to have had her soul completely destroyed. Once you interact with her (after bypassing some obstacles), you get a persuasion check. If you succeed that, you find she seems to still be aware, and teleport her back to your ship.
This is where my problem with the quest comes in. After you teleport her, she just stays (/w sleeping debuff) in the bottom level for the rest of the game. Once you beat the game, and are back on the ship, you cannot enter the lower levels.
I've looked around and haven't found any related quests, and she doesn't show up in the end scene vignettes, so there's no closure whatsoever.
Does she recover from the possession? Is she able to reunite with Bubbles? Perhaps, is the demon the only soul left in her? Who knows, she's never mentioned again.
This loose end really irritates me, since all the other demonic possessions had closure. I know Larian plans on making some patches, and I think they have some DLC planned as well. So I'm hoping that in the future we'll get that tied up and find out what happens to her.
Is anyone else annoyed by this?
