So I'm a little confused, the first game had armor dyeing, and it seems that it's been kind of implemented here (dyes in world, crafting seems to be set up for it) but no dice: I may have missed the word from Swen, is it incoming/being patched in any time soon?

Yours sincerely,

I would also like to know, I tried making armors with dyes but no cigar, I tried applying them through the crafting screen and still no cigar, good thing I don't smoke at least.

Especially when a dye is 'Fabic Dye' then surely...it's supposed to work?

Feels weird, not a major thing, obviously, but would be an amazing addition: perhaps a patch?

I would pray to modders rather than Larian at this point.

I'm RPing that a Zerrikanian trader is inbound from Thedas with armor dye technology, since Lucian took all the current armor dyeing experts to the grave when he bit the biscuit.

(pls Larian, don't make me do this to myself) lol.

I hope they also make it possible to change the way gears look too because I want Lizard mage attire the most.

And the point of this reply is alluding to... what, exactly? That they're patching the game? Well, duh! Silly to think they wouldn't.

What I mean by my OP, is that the armour dye system is entirely cosmetic and I doubt they rate it as highly as other problems for a while on their laundry list of incessant whining by the community, which isn't to say unjustified.

This is all of course presuming I'm not out-of-the-loop or missed something in their announcement. Which, of course, is entirely plausible.

I should be paying attention to this seminar IRL right now, but Divinity 2 is so wonderful. smile

Well... they put fixing the previously removed Whetstone on their patch agenda, so modders may be able to add the Whetstone to the game. They're also going to explore making new weapon types possible and rebinding mouse actions to keys. Granted, those are all changes for modders and the editor, but apparently, they have some freedom in terms of what they can prioritize.

Also, armor dyes are probably possible now with mods. The dyes already exist. Someone just needs to have enough interest in dyes to make the mod.

I'm got $20 NZD for any modder who'll do this, not in a 'Creation Club' type of corporate commander type of thing, more a 'I really want my party to be all in Locust Red for Adventures' type of thing.

Do not mention It! Its name is forbidden and will only bring misery to those who utter it!

ok Im sorry i'm just bored smile and the whole creation club thing drove me away from bethesda and into the divinity fanbase.

Meh, I just ignore it. As long as there's loads of mods elsewhere and I can make my own it's irrelevant. If they try to make it mandatory then we might have a problem, but until then...

I've been thinking about it, fabric dyeing requires a dye station it seems (using an anvil doesn't really make sense I guess) - and the fabric dyes exist in game like they're taunting us haha...I see this coming in Expansion 1 'Rise of the Source Dye Merchant' (something this successful will definitely have DLC I reckon).

Or maybe free content post launch...Swen, what ya reckon? wink
