Hey there,
Wanted to list all the issues I encountered while playing through the finale today. Obviously major spoilers ahead so be warned.
1. After choosing to surrender my source to Lucian, the dialogue ends abruptly and nothing happens. I can walk around but cannot talk to Lucian or any other NPC present. The only thing I could do to progress was to hit Braccus until the Stage 2 of the fight triggers. This was repro even after trying to load an earlier save and redoing the entire dialogue.
2. After choosing to fight Lucian, all the spell sound effects and character dialogues became barely audible, as if coming from very far away as an echo. Only the combat music played properly.
3. No matter of the ending chosen later, during the epilogue the journal was full of incorrect entries (this is after entering the stage 2 of the final fight as described in issue number 1):
- Sebille's entry said she fought my custom character for Divinity, while in reality she romanced my character - she was still on the ship and spoke with my character as normal.
- Ifan's entry claims he died while not agreeing with me to side with Lucian and turning against me, while in reality he trusted in my character's decision and was doing very well being alive on the ship during the epilogue.
- Lohse didn't get any new entry (intentional?)
- The journal claimed my character persuaded Braccus rex to not call on the God King, while in reality I failed the diplomacy checks and had to fight the stage 2 as normal.
4. Wrong journal entries specific to rejecting the power of Divinity:
- End Times entry correctly stated that no-one could resist the God King and he rules the world. However, the Epilogue entry states some-one else bounded with Adramalikh ascended and plunged world into chaos. That someone would obviously be Lohse, however not only not such thing happened during the ending, I actually killed Adramalikh in my playthrough and convinced Lohse to support my character.
- To Be Divine entry claims that during the final confrontation my character heard the calling of the God King and was commanded to kill everyone - Lucian, Dallis and Braccus Rex in order to fulfil the covenant. Again no such thing actually happened.
Will be happy to provide screenshots and save files if this would help fix all this.
